GKPS Important Dates and Times

The Victorian 2023 school term dates are as follows:

Term 1: 30 January - 7 April 2023 

Term 2: 24 April  - 23 June 2023

Term 3: 10 July - 15 September 2023

Term 4: 2 October - 20 December 2023

The school day

School hours are Monday to Friday, 8:40 am - 3:00 pm.

Children are supervised on school grounds from 8:15 am and until 3:15 pm. Out of hours care is available for families requiring childcare outside school hours through OSCH program. 

Students should be present on school grounds by 8:35 am. 

Bell times

• Commencement - 8:40 am

• Lunch Recess

  • Lunch eaten inside 11:10 am – 11:20 am

  • Outside play 11:20 am – 12:00 pm

• Afternoon Recess - 1:40 pm – 2:10 pm

  • Lunch eaten inside 1:40 pm – 1:45 pm
  • Outside play 1:45 pm – 2:10 pm

• Dismissal - 3:00 pm

Students arriving after the commencement bell should report to the office.

Absences can be notified to the school via the Compass App.
